The senses of images are very fragile. In painting or in drawing, a face turns from happiness into sadness very quickly.
Reality is not as divided into compartments as we often believe. Frontiers between beings or things are very thin. I like to create in-between them.

 Self-portrait and dog,

Awkwardness, unreal shapes, false lines aer useful in my paintings.
They oblige me to believe strongly in what I feel recognizing. Unreality strenghtens reality.

 Crowdy2,
100x65 cm,
Acrylic on canvas
I can't help finding people where they are not. In cracks, spots, stains, splashes, dog pees...
No wonder then if I find it very easy to paint people. And a lot of them.

We are much more alike than we usually believe. I like to feel in a public space like a fish in the sea, among my fellow creatures.

Though all the amusements, the entertainments some powers try to force-feed us, our essential problems are the same. One step further and we will be closer to a tree or a stone.

  Smurfs,
101x101cm,
Acrylic on canvas
Smurfs are all the same. In my painting too. Coming from the same juice. I hope juicy enough for you.
In fact, they rushed into the canvas, they all want to be part of the big feast.

  Big magma,

In a way, the world is just like you want it to be. Obsessed by something, you see it everywhere. But you need an obsession, at least.
