> John Batten statement:
> "The gallery's central column has a variety of artwork, photographs, good luck charms and objects which I have in my home in Po Hing Fong (not far from here). This combination of 'things' is similar in look to a notice-board I have hanging on the back of my front door - if there is any meaning, it is a depiction of (and demand for) a quieter, gentler Hong Kong as I imagine it....it ties into the concern that many of us have: a wish for a Hong Kong that is human-scale and more livable; better urban planning, more grass, less concrete, lower-rise buildings and a gentle breeze to remind us of nature. It is an urban counter-point to the artwork from Australia
